Potential buyers of McGraw Hill Financial Inc.'s (MHFI) J.D. Power unit include Chinese investment firm XIO Group, Reuters reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Western private-equity firms including Advent International Corp. are also interested in J.D. Power, Reuters reported.

In October, McGraw Hill said it would explore alternatives for J.D. Power. At the time, people familiar with the matter said it could attract a valuation of around $1 billion.
