Natural gas service to 22 Calgary customers on Sifton Boulevard immediately west
of Elbow Drive was disrupted this evening when a leak was reported on a 219 mm
intermediate pressure distribution pipeline crossing the river.


The leak in the line was reported at 6:39 p.m. this evening. ATCO Gas shut in
the line to isolate the leak at the Elbow River at Elbow Drive. ATCO Gas will
assess and repair the line to restore service as quickly and as safely as
possible.


This natural gas disruption affects 22 customers, who will be notified by ATCO
Gas. ATCO Gas will provide temporary natural gas service to these customers as
required.


Natural gas is non-polluting and releases naturally into the atmosphere.
