ATCO Frontec and the Fort McKay First Nation have been honoured for their joint
venture partnership in the creation and operation of Creeburn Lake Lodge, north
of Fort McMurray. The two are recipients of the Rewarding Partnerships Award,
bestowed by the Alberta Government and Alberta Chamber of Resources for
excellence in innovation and best practices in Aboriginal programs.

"This partnership is an example of how a long-term relationship can thrive when
business initiatives align," said Harry Wilmot, President and Chief Operating
Officer, ATCO Frontec and ATCO Structures Inc. "Both partners - ATCO Frontec and
the Fort McKay First Nation - knew that if this project was successful, it would
strengthen our position going forward."

Creeburn Lake Lodge, is a 500-bed, hotel-like facility that caters to workers in
Alberta's oilsands region. Both ATCO Frontec and Fort McKay First Nation are
equally responsible for designing, creating and sustaining the lodge - a key
ingredient that continues to ensure the lodge's success.

"Creeburn Lake Lodge is yet another example of some of the progressive work our
First Nation has undertaken," said Chief Jim Boucher, of the Fort McKay First
Nation. "In the ATCO Group we found a business partner that shares the same
values as us. As a result, our community has gained financially while our people
have gained new skills and expertise."

Since partnering in Creeburn Lake Lodge, ATCO Frontec and the Fort McKay First
Nation have announced two other additional ventures to meet housing needs in the
oilsands region.

"The Creeburn Lake Lodge project represents a new approach to a significant
human resource challenge in the resource development industry," said Alberta
Chamber of Resources Executive Director Brad Anderson. "I expect its success
will inspire other partnerships that will benefit all Albertans."

The Honourable Gene Zwozdesky, Minister responsible for Aboriginal Relations in
Alberta, will present the award at a banquet tonight in Edmonton.

"This unique joint venture between ATCO Frontec and Fort McKay First Nation will
result in many benefits for First Nations residents and industry alike," said
Gene Zwozdesky, Minister of Aboriginal Relations. "The ministry of Aboriginal
Relations is pleased to recognize and celebrate successful partnerships -
relationships based on mutual trust and respect - that are creating new economic
development opportunities for Aboriginal people in Alberta."
