Air Date Set for Standard Pacific/HomeAid America Episode of
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire/
-- Two homeless families now have a new home, thanks to Standard
Pacific Homes and HomeAid America, who teamed with ABC-TV's
"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" to build a new duplex in just 7
days. On Sunday, February 13, 2005 at 7pm, Pacific and Eastern
time, and 6pm Central time, a special two-hour episode will tell
the story of how literally hundreds of people -- from staff members
to subcontractors, friends and family -- donated seven days of
their lives to make a difference in their world and in their
community. Standard Pacific's Denver division built this duplex in
partnership with HomeAid America, a non-profit organization that
provides transitional housing, job counseling and support to
homeless families. The November building of the duplex was captured
by the hit television series "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" to
help raise awareness and lend support to the effort. In Denver, as
well as throughout the country, both Standard Pacific and HomeAid
America are actively working to change the status quo and brighten
the future for transitional homeless families. Standard Pacific,
one of the nation's largest homebuilders, has built homes for more
than 70,000 families during its 39-year history. The Company
constructs homes within a wide range of price and size targeting a
broad range of homebuyers. Standard Pacific operates in some of the
strongest housing markets in the country with operations in major
metropolitan areas in California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Florida
and the Carolinas. The Company provides mortgage financing and
title services to its homebuyers through its subsidiaries and joint
ventures, Family Lending Services, WRT Financial, Westfield Home
Mortgage, Universal Land Title of South Florida and SPH Title. For
