Alaska Airlines Launches Daily Service Between Houston and Seattle

Introductory one-way fares start at $99 SEATTLE, Sept. 23
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Alaska Airlines today began daily nonstop
service between Houston and Seattle. Alaska is offering
introductory one-way fares of $99 between the two cities for
tickets purchased by Sept. 30, 2009. "We're pleased to bring
Alaska's award-winning service and low prices to our customers in
Houston and Seattle," said Steve Jarvis, vice president of
marketing, sales and customer experience. "This new daily service
provides oil and energy business travelers with convenient
connections between Houston, Alaska, and Calgary, Alberta." Summary

Seattle-based carrier's route system this year. Alaska began
service to Austin, Texas, on Aug. 3, and Bellingham, Wash. on June
25, and will add daily service between Seattle and Atlanta on Oct.
23, 2009. Alaska will operate the flights with Boeing 737-800
aircraft, accommodating 16 passengers in first class and 141
passengers in the main cabin. Flights will offer Alaska's Northern
Bites meals-for-purchase service, which allows coach passengers to
buy a meal onboard. Inflight service also will include Alaska
Airlines' digEplayer, a personal entertainment system offering a
variety of movies, television shows, music and other features.

A 14-day advance purchase is required. Blackout dates for travel
within the United States are: Nov. 20-21, Nov. 25, Nov. 28-30, Dec.
18-21, Dec. 23, Dec. 26-28, 2009, and Jan. 2-4, 2010. Travelers are
responsible for the following taxes and fees, as applicable:
Airport Passenger Facility charges of up to $9 (amount depends on
itinerary), Federal Segment Tax of $3.60 per segment (takeoff and
landing) and U.S. Security Fee of $2.50 per enplanement. All taxes
and fees shown are based on one-way travel and may be doubled if
traveling roundtrip. Tickets purchased at an Alaska Airlines
airport location or through an Alaska Airlines reservation call
center will cost $15 more per person than the advertised fare.
Tickets are nonrefundable but can be changed. Changes made at
alaskaair.com incur a $75 (USD) per person change fee and any
difference in fare. Ticket changes made through an Alaska Airlines
reservation call center or airport ticket counter incur a $100
(USD) per person change fee or a $125 (USD) per person change fee
if originally booked through a travel agent and changed through an
Alaska Airlines reservation call center or ticket counter, and any
difference in fare. Seats are limited and may not be available on
all flights or all days. Some flights may be operated by or in
conjunction with Horizon Air or an Alaska Airlines' alliance
