ING Groep NV said Tuesday that it has entered into exclusive talks with Societe Generale SA subsidiary Boursorama to offer banking services to ING's retail customers in France.

The Dutch lender said that the exact scope of the deal remains to be specified, and that it would concern daily banking, savings and investment products.

ING said its retail lending portfolio wouldn't be part of the deal, with mortgages continuing to be managed by ING.

The companies intend to reach a definitive deal in April at the latest.
