Wartsila Oyj (WRT1V.HE), a Finnish maker of power sources for
the marine and energy markets, has appointed Jaakko Eskola as chief
executive, it said Monday.
The announcement came shortly after Sandvik AB (SAND.SK), a
Swedish industrial tool maker, said it has appointed Wartsila's
current Chief Executive, Bjorn Rosengren, as its new chief
executive.
Mr. Eskola, who joined the company in 1998 and is based in
Shanghai, China, is President of Wartsila Marine Solutions
business. Wartsila has started a process to appoint a successor for
Mr Eskola to head the Marine Solutions business.
