Western Sierra Mining Corp., (Pink Sheets:WSRA) said today that it will expand its current exploration programs during the second and third quarters of 2011 to include potential mineral properties in the State of Nevada.

Western is actively looking to expand its current gold and silver reserves. It has stepped up its exploration efforts on its own properties specifically at the Big Chief and Eagle in an effort to identify additional reserves and evaluate the possibility of upgrading certain blocks of now inferred to probable reserves. With the continued increase in the price of gold and silver, there are specific targets in Nevada that need to be re-evaluated for their economic development.

Western is also looking at additional silver properties in central Arizona and the Bradshaw Mountains including historically producing underground mines near the city of Mayer.

In addition to pure exploration, the Company is currently bidding several contract mining proposals and hopes to be able to announce the positive outcome of those negotiations in the near future.
