                Diageo plc - re Cruzcampo

Diageo   today  announced  that  in  response  to  recent
approaches   by   potential  purchasers  concerning   its
interests in the Cruzcampo beer business in Spain, it has
agreed  a  process for receiving and considering possible
offers.  In evaluating these, Diageo will apply its usual
criteria of shareholder value creation.  This process may
or may not lead to a sale of its interest in the company.
