Acquisition of 4.99% in Shariah Capital Inc. ("Shariah Capital" or the
"Company")

Following announcement by Shariah Capital on 18 March 2008 of The Dubai Multi
Commodities Centre Authority's (DMCC) intention to acquire 4.99% of the
Company's Common Shares of USD0.01 each (the "Common Shares"), the Board of
Shariah Capital are pleased to announce that DMCC yesterday concluded this
investment by purchasing 3,081,023 Common Shares in the Company at US$1.80 per
share for a total consideration of $5,545,857. Eric Meyer, Chairman and CEO of
Shariah Capital, was in Dubai to sign the Subscription Agreement with DMCC.

An application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for these shares to be
admitted to trading on AIM with admission expected to take place on 26 March
2008. Following admission of these shares to trading, Shariah Capital will have
61,744,132 Common Shares in issue.
