i365 Inc., A Seagate Company (NASDAQ:STX), today announced that
five new partners in the Asia Pacific region (APAC) are promoting
EVault® Cloud-Connected storage services to their customers. These
new partners include VIVAVO in Hong Kong; Netmagic Solutions in
Mumbai, India; Imagine IT Solutions and Jasco in Sydney and
Melbourne, Australia (respectively); and Redynamics Asia in Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia and Singapore. According to industry analyst firm
IDC, the APAC market for cloud computing services will grow by an
average of 40 percent each year through 2014 when it reaches US$4.9
billion.
“Businesses in APAC are experiencing great growth, and with that
comes the need to protect their growing data stores — executives
are well aware they cannot wait until a disaster before they lock
down their backup and recovery processes,” said Terry Cunningham,
president and general manager at i365. “Over 32,000 SMB, SME, and
remote office customers have trusted EVault professional-grade data
protection since 1997. We are proud to be partnering with these
visionary service providers who agree that Cloud-Connected backup
is the best choice for customers, and share our focus on being
ultra-reliable, proactive, and passionate about customer
success.”
i365 provides EVault® on-premise, cloud, and Cloud-Connected
“hybrid” data protection solutions to help small to mid-size
organisations protect and access their business data. i365 has lead
the industry in the move to hybrid storage models, with a uniquely
integrated ecosystem of EVault storage software, SaaS, managed
services, and appliances that helps ensure customers maintain
business continuity in multi-platform, multi-site environments.
EVault data protection, disaster recovery and other storage
services are optimised to perform in a distributed environment;
supported by a secure, reliable cloud storage infrastructure; and
backed by the highest quality customer service.
"We specialize in implementing the right solutions for our
enterprise customers and we realized there was a gap in our backup
solutions portfolio," said Raymond Chou, director, Redynamics.
“When we looked at the EVault solution, it was simply a no brainer.
It addressed the gaps in our solution offerings, it completed the
story for our customers and, importantly, the solution is easy to
implement, support, and manage.”
Jason McClintock, chairman and CEO of Jasco, said, “Jasco’s
philosophy centres on using better technologies to make it easier
for our customers to do business. Cloud solutions are a key element
of this strategy, which is why we have partnered with i365. Evault
Cloud-Connected storage services build on Jasco’s OneNimbus cloud
solutions portfolio, adding to Jasco’s existing e-fort managed
backup service. We can now provide our customers with a much more
comprehensive cloud offering, via on-premise-based solutions as
well as private and public cloud capabilities. We look forward to
working with i365 and showing our customers in Australia the
benefits of EVault Cloud-Connected storage services.”
"Netmagic’s philosophy has always been to build services around
cutting-edge technology in the Managed Hosting space," said Nitin
Mishra, VP - product management and solution engineering, Netmagic
Solutions. “i365’s data vaulting products and services allow us to
have a clear technology edge in data backup and storage compared to
our competitors. Maintaining integrity of our customer’s data is
integral to our business success, and EVault technology enables us
to offer state-of-the-art data vaulting and backup services that
set new benchmarks in reliability and performance.”
“2011 has seen cloud computing come of age in the Australian
marketplace,” said Phil Caruso, CEO of Imagine IT Solutions. “Many
organisations are looking to deploy at least some of their
computing via the cloud. There is one missing piece of the cloud
puzzle....the realisation that tape solutions can't back up and
restore cloud-based data. The good news is we do have the missing
piece, EVault. Problem solved!”
“EVault will be a perfect match with our state-of-the-art hybrid
cloud infrastructures hosted in regional-wide SAS 70 Type II Data
Centres covering Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and other Asian cities.
Most of our customers are becoming aware of the importance of
business continuity while minimizing their initial capital
investment. No doubt, EVault’s “pay-as-you-go” model is the
ultimate solution our customers ever look for,” said Francis Au,
CEO of VIVAVO.
