JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Oct. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- IMC HealthCare, a national health care company that specializes in designing, staffing and managing corporate sponsored on-site health and wellness centers, announced today that it has signed a new five-year contract with American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings, Inc. (AAM) to staff and manage all five of the company's on-site employee health care facilities. Two of the centers are located at AAM facilities in Detroit and the others are located in AAM facilities in Buffalo, N.Y., Tonawanda, N.Y., and Three Rivers, Mich. AAM expanded its contract with IMC HealthCare because of its strong, successful management of the on-site centers at Buffalo, Tonawanda and Three Rivers during the past three years. At the Buffalo facility, 96 percent of patient satisfaction surveys scored IMC as having good or better service. "As employee health care costs for businesses continue to increase, IMC is able to alleviate this growing concern by helping employers substantially improve productivity and effectively curb rising health care costs with our on-site health facilities," said Todd Keller, CEO of IMC HealthCare. "Working together with AAM staff, IMC is able to dramatically lower worker's compensation costs while bringing quality health care in the form of dedicated health centers into the plant to provide rapid, convenient and quality health care for all employees." The health care facilities in Detroit will provide full- and part-time medical professionals, including physicians, nurse practitioners, nurse case managers and ancillary staff, who are dedicated to providing quality occupational and emergency health care services to employees. As the largest of all AAM domestic manufacturing facilities, the Detroit facilities will employ 18 health care professionals, effectively bringing the total full- and part-time medical staff to 34 for all five sites.
