Hays Plc (HAS.LN), a global specialist recruitment Group, announced Thursday that Alan Thomson will be joining the Board as a non-executive director on October 1, and will become Chairman following the Annual General Meeting on Nov. 10, when Bob Lawson, the present Chairman, will retire from the Board.

MAIN FACTS:

-Thomson is currently Chairman of Bodycote Plc (BOY.LN), an international provider of thermal processing services, the Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee at Johnson Matthey Plc (JMAT.LN), a specialty chemicals company.

-Shares at 0703 GMT down 0.65 pence, or 0.68%, at 95.40 pence.
