Alaska to Resume Portland Schedule SEATTLE, Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Alaska Airlines gets back to its normal schedule of flights at Portland International Airport tomorrow, Saturday, January 10. For the past three days the airline has been unable to operate due to continuing severe winter weather that has impacted the city and the region. Over the period, thousands of outbound and inbound Alaska Airlines passengers were affected by the storm. "We want to thank all of our loyal customers, especially those in the Portland area, for their patience and understanding. We know how difficult this has been for the traveling public and we regret the inconvenience these conditions created," said George Bagley, executive vice president of operations. "In addition, I want to personally extend my thanks to the men and women of Alaska Airlines who gave so much of themselves this week under truly adverse circumstances." Bagley said the first flights of the day from Portland to Phoenix, San Francisco and San Jose are scheduled to depart at 6:40 a.m. on Saturday. Alaska serves 14 destinations from Portland. They include Anchorage, Burbank, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Oakland, Ontario, Orange County, Phoenix, Palm Springs, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose and Sacramento.
