Lithic Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: LTH) (the "Company") is pleased
to report additional assay results for its Crypto skarn-hosted
zinc-indium-copper-molybdenum project located in western Utah. Hole
C08-10 was drilled as a 50 metre step-out to test the southerly
extension of mineralization encountered in hole C07-03 while hole
C08-11 tested the eastern flank of the Crypto deposit and hole
C08-7A was aimed at testing the extension of high grade,
replacement-style silver-lead zinc mineralization at the historic
Utah Mine.
Highlights
- the extension of known near surface oxide zinc mineralization
in hole C08-10
- a wide intercept of replacement-style silver-zinc-lead
mineralization in hole C08-11, including an interval grading 253.8
gpt silver and 4.28% zinc over 10.83 metres
- several intercepts grading better than 0.1% MoS2 in skarn in
hole C08-11, further demonstrating the widespread presence of
molybdenum in the Crypto system
- no significant grades in Hole C08-7A as it intersected a bed
of non-favourable host rock at the point where the extension of
Utah Mine mineralization was expected
The following table lists the more significant intersections for
these holes:

Hole C08-10 crossed the main E-W fault on the property earlier
than anticipated and thus did not intersect the targeted southerly
extension of the main sulphide Zn-In-Cu zone which is bounded by
that fault. However, a significant zinc-bearing interval was
intersected in the upper portion of the deep sulphide zone before
the hole was terminated in quartz monzonite.
Numerous other intercepts of high grade silver mineralization
within the oxide zone similar to that found in hole C08-11 were
encountered in historical drilling, including 10.21 metres grading
207.8 gpt silver and 12.81% zinc in hole CC-34 and 3.56 metres
grading 361.5 gpt silver and 10.19% zinc in hole CC-27. These
intercepts and others suggest significant potential for other high
grade replacement zones in the Crypto vicinity similar to that
mined historically at the Utah mine.
Hole C08-7A reached its target depth but intersected a bed of
non-reactive quartzite at the point at which the mineralized zone
was expected rather than the more reactive and favourable dolostone
that hosts mineralization elsewhere in the Utah mine area. It is
possible that mineralization still remains to be found in the
dolostone sequence to either side of the quartzite.
Mine Development Associates of Reno, Nevada is currently
preparing an updated resource estimate for the property which,
along with preliminary metallurgical test work, will be
incorporated into a comprehensive NI 43-101 report expected for the
first quarter of 2009. Chris Staargaard, M.Sc., P.Geo., is the
