This week, Apogee Enterprises, Inc. (Nasdaq: APOG) will
mark its 75th anniversary with celebrations across its locations.
Founded as the Harmon Glass Company on July 12, 1949, the company
began with a single shop in Minneapolis. From this humble
beginning, the Company has built a record of growth and innovation,
emerging as a leader in its industry. Today, Apogee has 4,400
employees, operating from 15 principal facilities in the U.S.,
Canada, and Brazil.
The Company’s architectural products can be found on monumental
skyscrapers, medical clinics, schools, and other buildings across
the world. Through its Tru Vue® brand, the Company provides
high-performance glass and acrylic products used in custom picture
framing, museums, and other applications. Apogee’s ideas,

Initially, Harmon Glass replaced windshields for used car
dealers and then began offering contract glass installation for
buildings in 1955. Apogee Enterprises, Inc. was formed in 1968, as

over-the-counter exchange and has continued to grow through
acquisitions and organic growth investments, reaching $1.4 billion
in sales in 2023.
