What a day to have a split. It was likely a pre-emptive strike against losing stockholders to Google before they knew what Google where going to dowith their IPO!

Feel sure if they knew what Google planned to do, Yahoo would never have gone for a share ''split''.

It seemed to be an attempt to lock in their stockholders, rather then have them bolt to the Google IPO.

In a way I feel sorry for Yahoo, but still cant see the upside nearly as well as I can for Google and ebay.
