Highlighting its activities in social media and multimedia platforms, Volt Workforce Solutions, the staffing business unit of Volt Information Sciences, Inc. has received multiple awards in the 2011 Staffing VOICE Awards competition from the American Staffing Association. This national annual awards program recognizes the best ASA member communications campaigns in 16 categories, from direct mail to public service. In addition, for a second consecutive year, Volt received special recognition as the recipient of a 2011 ASA Staffing VOICE Crystal Communications Award. “Crystal” awards honor the top campaigns and entries in the overall competition. The Communications Award honors the best campaign in its class that advances the overall image of the staffing industry.

Volt won Certificates of Excellence in five categories: Social Media, Company Web Site, Multimedia, Company Identification, and Other Advertising. Volt also received Certificates of Merit in the Company Blog and Direct Mail categories.

“It is a huge honor that Volt Workforce Solutions has for the second year in a row received ASA’s highest communications honor, a Staffing VOICE Crystal Award,” said Tom Daley, President of Volt Workforce Solutions. “Recognized for the high quality they represent, these awards showcase the ASA’s standards of professionalism across our industry. Volt’s deployment of key social strategies and platforms to build conversations within our client and candidate communities continues to differentiate us, and I’m extremely proud of our National Marketing team for their original and creative work.”

The ASA Staffing VOICE Awards competition recognizes the voice, originality, innovation, creativity, and effectiveness—or VOICE—of ASA member communications campaigns. A panel of communications specialists judge entries in two award classes: independent and national staffing firms. Entries are evaluated on overall quality, content and message, originality of approach, target audience, and objectives.

Winning entries will be displayed during Staffing World, Oct. 11–14 in New Orleans.

The 2011 ASA Staffing VOICE Awards competition was sponsored by CareerBuilder, an ASA corporate partner providing customized products and services to help staffing firms increase their exposure among candidates and potential clients.
