Ref.: Notification of Significant Event: Saudi Railway Contract

Dear Sirs,

The company, OBRASCON HUARTE LAIN, S.A. (OHL), in compliance with current legislation, hereby reports the following Significant Event:

Today the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Saudi Railway Organization (SRO), has notified that the execution contract of the project called Phase 2 - Haramain High Speed Rail Project, which includes the construction of a railway between the cities of Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia, signalling and telecommunication systems, electrification, control operations centre, the supply of 35 trains, and operation and maintenance for a period of 12 years (the "Contract"), has been awarded to a consortium called Al Shoula Consortium of which OHL is a part of.

OHL will essentially perform the civil works determined within the Contract for an approximate price of 590 million euros. The execution of these works will take place over a period of approximately 50 months.
