M&G Income Investment Trust P.L.C.



M&G Income Investment Trust P.L.C. (M&G IIT) announces that it has recently
been informed by Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited (AAML) of the purchase of
21,983,000 M&G IIT Income shares on behalf of Leveraged Income Fund Limited
and the purchase of 3,000,000 M&G IIT Income shares on behalf of discretionary
funds under management. M&G IIT has also been informed of the sale of
24,983,000 M&G IIT Income shares by AAML on behalf of Aberdeen Preferred
Income Trust PLC.

The total holding of M&G IIT Income shares managed by AAML and its associated
companies, including those held within M&G IIT Geared Ordinary Units (each
comprising 1 Capital and 1 Income share) remains at 28,503,366 representing
11.49 per cent of the issued share capital of the M&G IIT Income shares.
