APR Energy PLC (APR.LN), a London-listed temporary power solutions provider, Monday said it has been awarded a 100 megawatt contract from a unit of IPR-GDF Suez, an electrical utility with operations in Mexico.

The company didn't comment on the value of the deal but said the contract with Tractebel Energia de Monterrey, S. de R.L. de C.V., is for the deployment of gas turbines and technical support at the Monterrey Cogeneration facility in Nuevo Leon.

APR Energy Monday also said it had been awarded a contract from the Electric Authority of Cyprus to provide 120 MW of diesel generation units.

Additionally, the company reported a pretax loss of $33 million for the 14 months ended Dec. 31, 2011. In the 12 months ended Oct 31, 2010, it reported a loss of $6 million.

At 0703 GMT, APR Energy shares were flat at 919.5 pence.
