The Company was informed today that Arc Fund Management Holdings plc ("Arc"), on
11 October 2006,  sold 1,000,000  Ashton Penney ordinary shares at a price of
4.00p per share.  Arc now holds 1,112,144 Ashton Penney ordinary shares, 
representing 3.31% of the Company's issued share capital.

Mr Renwick Haddow, a Director of the Company, holds 47.2% of the issued share
capital of Arc.
