                                ASHTON PENNEY HOLDINGS PLC
                            (the "Company" or "Ashton Penney")

                                 Director/PDMR Shareholding

The Company was informed on 21 February 2007 that Bruce Page, Director, through
his Self Invested Personal Pension  Scheme, ("SIPP") on that date purchased
35,000 Ashton Penney ordinary shares at a price of 3.75p per share.  The SIPP 
now holds 235,000 Ashton Penney ordinary shares, representing 0.7 % of the
Company's issued share capital.

Accordingly, at today's date, Mr Page's total holding is now of 360,000 ordinary
shares, representing 1.01 % of the  issued share capital of the Company.
