Part VI of the Companies Act 1985

The Company has been informed of a change to the Notifiable Interests of the
Zurich Financial Services Group and Zurich Allied AG, both of Switzerland and
Allied Zurich Plc in the shares of the Company.

In accordance with the provisions of Section 198 of the Companies Act 1985,
and on behalf of the above, Threadneedle Investment Managers have informed the
Company that they have ceased to have a notifiable interest over the shares in
the Company, with effect from 29 November 1999.
