Total Voting Rights

In accordance with the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1, Blue Planet
Worldwide Financials Investment Trust plc ('the Company') hereby notifies that,
as at 01 January 2009, the Company's issued share capital consists
of 14,285,718 ordinary shares of 50p with each share carrying the right to one
vote.

The Company holds 209,500 shares in treasury.  The total number of voting rights
in the Company, as at 01 January 2009, is therefore 14,076,218.

The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the
calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their
interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under the FSA's
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
