Business Serve PLC, ("Business Serve") one of the UK's leading converged
communications providers, offering both traditional ISP products and
telecommunications services including Voice Over Internet Protocol ("VoIP"), has
signed an agreement with snom technology AG ("snom"), one of Germany's leading
internet telephony handset manufacturers.
The agreement combines Business Serve's "plug and play" VoIP software and
technical support with snom's hardware products. The service will be marketed
under the PipeCall brand, Business Serve's leading VoIP product and provides
snom with market leading technologies for the UK market.
Retail outlets will be able to sell PipeCall branded snom VoIP phones with a
PipeCall CD Rom, which provides users with a simple to install complete
solution. Business Serve will also provide technical support for customers.
Dr Michael Knieling, Executive Director, at snom technology AG, commented:
"Business Serve is fast becoming the leading UK VoIP provider with their
PipeCall technology and brand. snom is delighted to be partnering Business Serve
to gain further advancement within the emerging VoIP marketplace in the UK."
Simon Cleaver, Chief Executive Officer, Business Serve plc commented:
"This is the second strategic agreement that we have signed with a leading
manufacturer. PipeCall's brand is gaining momentum in the VoIP market and will
become increasingly available to both business and home users as the technology
enables telecoms costs for all levels of customers to be significantly reduced.
We are determined to exploit the opportunities this presents and our link up
with snom provides another readily accessible route to the UK market for
PipeCall."
