                           Appointment of Director

The Board of Brightview is pleased to announce the appointment of David Brian
Long as a Non-Executive Director of the  Company with effect from 23 April 2007.

Brian Long, aged 63, is an experienced company director who currently sits on
the board of four other companies.  He  has wide experience of acquisitions and
disposals, fund raising and refinancing, both in the UK and overseas, and in 
leading strategic reviews.  Between 1995 and 2000 he served as chairman of
Surgical Innovations plc, an AIM listed  company which he guided through two
fund raising exercises and a merger.

Mr Long is a mining engineer by training and holds an MBA from Harvard Business
School.

Mr Long was a director of the following companies which were put into 
liquidation:

Aquarian Holdings Ltd (1992 to 1997) - Members voluntary liquidation when
businesses sold off. All creditors paid.

Integral Plastics Group plc (1999 to 2003) - Company acquired 2 subsidiaries of
another group which had been put into receivership. Acquisition proved to be an
error and company put into liquidation.
