Results of Rights Issue

Drummond Group PLC ("Drummond") announces that as at 3.00 p.m. yesterday, the
latest time for acceptance and payment in full under the Rights Issue, valid
acceptances have been received in respect of 18,025,960 New Ordinary Shares
representing 57.8 per cent. of the 31,204,134 New Ordinary Shares offered by
way of rights at 7 pence per share (the "Rights Price").  It has not been
possible to place the balance of 13,177,854 New Ordinary Shares not taken up
under the Rights Issue (after excluding disregarded fractional entitlements)
at an amount at least equal to the Rights Price and the expenses associated
with such a placing.

Accordingly Chargeurs UK, as underwriter of the Rights Issue, will subscribe
for the balance of 13,177,854 New Ordinary Shares at the Rights Price.  As a
result, Chargeurs UK will hold a total of 47,809,926 New Ordinary Shares,
representing 73.9 per cent. of the enlarged issued ordinary share capital of
the Company.
