    New agreement with the Italian partner of Western Union and Sisal S.p.A.
             Announcement of date of Preliminary Results Statement


Elitel Telecom SpA (AIM: ETM) the independent Italian telecommunications group,
is pleased to announce that it has signed a joint marketing agreement with
Angelo Costa SpA, the Italian partner of Western Union in Italy, under the terms
of which Elitel and Western Union will co-brand Elitel's pre-paid international
call card.  The principal target market for Elitel's call card product is
similar to that of Western Union's international money transfer customer.
Elitel anticipates that promoting its call card products to Western Union's
customers will create significant business opportunities.


Elitel also announces that it has signed an agreement with Sisal S.p.A.
("Sisal"), an Italian gaming and lottery provider, for the launch of pre-paid
calling card targeting the Ethnic Market through Sisal's 18,000 outlets across
Italy.


The Company also announces that intends to make its maiden preliminary
announcement of results for the year to 31 December 2005 on 1 June 2006.


Commenting on the latest developments Federico d 'Este, Chief Executive said "We
are pleased to have signed this new agreement with Western Union which will
build on our dominant position in the Italian international phone card market.
The agreement with Sisal will also further increase Elitel's market share of the
growing ethnic international call market."

voice-over IP ('VoIP'), to both businesses and residential customers. The Group
