European Minerals Private Placement of Common Shares

European Minerals Corporation ("EMC" or the "Company") - (TSX:EPM)(AIM:EUM) - an international mineral
exploration and development company focused on identifying, acquiring and developing resource projects, is
pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with Canaccord Adams Limited (the "Agent") which has
agreed to sell, by way of a private placement on a reasonable efforts basis, up to 19,531,250 common shares of
the Company at a price of C$1.28 per share, for aggregate gross proceeds of up to C$25,000,000. Placees outside
of North America will be permitted to pay for the shares in British Pounds Sterling, and for this purpose the
equivalent price per share has been fixed at 62 pence per share. The Company plans to use the net proceeds of
this financing to fund advancement of the Company's mineral projects and for general corporate purposes.

The financing is scheduled to close on or about 18 December, 2007 and is subject to certain conditions
including, but not limited to, the receipt of all necessary approvals of the Toronto Stock Exchange.
