European Mineral Corporation: Director Appointment

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - June 23, 2008) - Further to the announcement by European
Minerals Corporation ("EMC or "the Company"") (TSX:EPM)(AIM:EUM) on 20 June 2008, EMC is pleased to
provide additional information in respect of the appointments of Mr Takhirzhan Baratov to the EMC
Board.

Mr Takhirzhan Tursunovich Baratov, aged 47, is or has been a director of the following companies or
partnerships in the last five years.

pursuant to Schedule 2 paragraph (g) of the London Stock Exchange's AIM Rules for Companies.
