                               Start of dealings                               

The directors of FDC announce that dealings are expected to commence this
morning in 339,265,823 ordinary shares of 0.1p each, being 142,432,490
resulting from the 10 for 1 split of 1p ordinary shares in the Company and
196,833,333 new ordinary shares of 0.1p each placed with investors in the
placing referred to in the announcement dated 26 August 2004.
