Change of Name 

The directors of Grosmont Holdings PLC ("the Company") have formed the opinion
that the greatest opportunities for investment are in companies operating, or
proposing to operate, businesses related to the Internet or involved in
e-commerce.

The development of the Internet as a realistic channel for conducting business
has progressed to the extent that it is now a reality. Growth of on-line
commerce over the next few years is widely expected to be exponential. The
Directors believe that the main beneficiaries of this growth will be the early
adopters of new technology. It is the Directors' intention to seek to identify
these early adopters and invest in them.  By their nature they will be early
stage businesses which, at the point of investment, may have no revenues and
partially developed product offerings.

Accordingly, the Directors propose that the Company will focus its investment
solely on Internet and e-commerce companies. In order to reflect the new
nature of the Company more accurately, it is proposed that the name of the
Company be changed top "The eVestment Company PLC".

The Company is therefore today sending a circular to shareholders explaining
the Board's proposals and convening an extraordinary general meeting of the
Company on 24 June 1999 in order to, inter alia:

1. change the name of the Company be changed to "The eVestment Company PLC";

and 

2. authorise the Directors to implement the revised investment strategy
