Hichens, Harrison pre-close trading statement


The Directors of Hichens, Harrison, the City of London's oldest firm of
Stockbrokers, are pleased to announce that, following the end of the financial
year to 31 December 2007, they are confident that during the second half of 2007
the business continued its impressive rate of growth over the equivalent period
in 2006.


The Directors, therefore, expect a significant increase in both turnover and
profit before tax in 2007 from the equivalent period in 2006.


Most of the growth in 2007 has been as a result of the Company's decision to
concentrate on Emerging Market economies and the Company's ability to raise
increasing amounts of capital in these overseas markets.


Hichens, Harrison is set to continue with its policy of overseas expansion and
plans to open offices in both Qatar and Singapore in the first quarter of 2008.
Offices will also be opened in India and Japan during 2008.


In recognition of the strategic importance of the Middle East in developing the
Company's revenue streams, it is proposed to strengthen the management of the
Company's overseas operations by relocating the CEO, Adam Wilson, to the Middle
East.


Adam Wilson Chief Executive of Hichens, Harrison commented:-

performance.


The group continues successfully to increase its presence in overseas emerging
markets as demonstrated with the recent US$110m placing for Panceltica - funded
largely from the Middle East."
