                        HIGH POINT WINS $8m CONTRACTS

High Point Rendel Group plc ("High-Point" or "the company"), the international
business, management and technology consultancy, today announces a number of
recent contract awards for the Group. The contracts, worth over $8m (#5.51m)
in total, have been awarded in the previous six months, and underline the
Group's world leader status in a number of key fields. Client confidentiality
prevents details of many of the contracts from being announced. However an
indicative selection of the contracts won include:

Risk Analysis Review - China National Machinery Import & Export Corporation
(CNMIEC)- High-Point has been engaged by one of China's largest trading
corporations to carry out a risk analysis of its international works. The
company is reviewing the client's entire foreign & domestic project division
to allow the CNMEIC tendering team to better understand international
contracting roles.

Rehabilitation of M06 Highway, Ukraine - High-Point has been engaged by the
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Ukranian government
to manage the refurbishment of the 600km Kiev - Moscow highway.

Advanced Cargo Centre, Asia-Pacific - High-Point has been appointed by a
confidential client to provide both commercial and technical advice for this
project. The company is advising the client on all aspects of the commercial
and technical operations of the centre.

Brighton to Saltdean Cliffs, United Kingdom - High-Point has been appointed to
carry out a cliff stability risk assessment along this vulnerable area of
coastline. The company will examine the existing cliff and sea defences for
Brighton & Hove district council.

Shanxi Wanjiazhai Yellow River Diversion Project, China - High Point has been
appointed by the Chinese Government. The company's Business & Management
division is providing a range of services on this US$1.4bn project.

The level of contract awards being currently experienced is encouraging and
High-Point continues to trade in line with market expectation. High-Point
looks forward to updating shareholders further in early November with the
release of the company's full year results.

many of our clients. However they include international contractors, insurers,
global financial bodies and infrastructure investors."

schemes and brownland rehabilitation challenges.
