                              HIGH-POINT RENDEL

                        APPOINTS NEW FINANCE DIRECTOR

High-Point Rendel Group plc ("High-Point"), the international business
management and technology consultancy, today announces the appointment of Bill
Trendell as Group Finance Director.

Bill brings over 12 years of PLC experience to High-Point. He was formerly
Finance Director of Waste Recycling Group plc, a FTSE-250 company, and was
previously Finance Director at Doeflex plc, the plastics group, where he was
instrumental in the turnaround and successful sale of the company to British
Vita plc.

Pat Desmond, will relinquish his temporary role as Group Finance Director,
which he has held since first of April 2001. Pat will continue as a
Non-Executive Director.

Tony Palmer, Chairman of High-Point Rendel, said,
