                       Announcement of Board Appointment


IDMoS plc (AIM: IDO) ("IDMoS" or the 'Group'), the specialist in disease
detection and monitoring technology, is pleased to announce the appointment of
Graham Lay, Chief Operating Officer of the Group, to the Board with immediate
effect.


Graham Lay has extensive experience in the medical devices arena, having spent
18 years with Johnson & Johnson, Inc, ultimately achieving the role of Vice
President - Worldwide Research and Development, where he was responsible for new
product innovation and development, including a significant number of product
launches. He also has substantial experience in the commercialisation of
clinical products.


It was announced on 10th July that, following the departure of Stephen Westwood,
the former Chief Executive, John Pool has moved from the role of non-Executive
Chairman to the role of Interim Executive Chairman. . A new Chief Executive will
be appointed as soon as practical.


John Pool, Interim Executive Chairman of IDMoS said:

his skills and experience will be of real value both as Group Chief Operating
Officer and a member of the Board of IDMoS plc. We now have a new team in place
