INVESTEC EUROPEAN GROWTH & INCOME TRUST LIMITED                

Red Apple Investments LLC stated in the Uncontested Mandatory Cash Only Offer
(the "Offer") dated 30 October 2003 for Ordinary shares in the Company that if
the Offer was declared unconditional, Red Apple Investments LLC would apply for
cancellation of the trading and listing of the Ordinary shares on the Official
List of the London Stock Exchange.

The Offer was declared unconditional on 20 November 2003 and the Company
announces that it intends to delist the Ordinary shares of the Company on 10
March 2004.

Zero Dividend Preference shares will continue to be traded and listed on the
Official List of the London Stock Exchange and Channel Islands Stock Exchange.
