Kromek receives £1.4m order
to deliver D3M detectors for use in EU Stockpile
Kromek Group plc (AIM: KMK), a leading
developer of radiation and bio-detection technology solutions for
the advanced imaging and CBRN detection segments, announces that it
has received an order in excess of £1.4m to supply D3M detectors
and associated networkable solutions. The revenues are expected to
be received within the current financial year.
The detectors are intended for use in the
rescEU stockpile, which is being developed by the European
Commission to help safeguard citizens from disasters and manage
emerging risks, including equipment to respond to chemical,
biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) risks. The order is
fully funded by the EU, through the Directorate-General for
European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid
Operations.

critical infrastructure, events, personnel and urban environments
from the threat of 'dirty bombs'.
The Group is also developing bio-security solutions
in the CBRN detection segment. These consist of fully automated and
autonomous systems to detect a wide range of airborne
pathogens.
