French oil services company Technip SA (TEC.FR) Thursday said it has been awarded a contract by Italy's Eni (ENI.MI) for the Kitan oil field development project in the Timor sea.

MAIN FACTS:

- The contract covers project management and engineering, supply and installation of flowlines and risers, the installation of the umbilical system.

- Technip's operating center in Perth, Australia will execute the contract. The pipelines will be manufactured at the group's plant in Le Trait, France.

- Offshore installation is scheduled to start in the first half of 2011.
