    CANCELLATION OF TREASURY SHARES


    Mineral Securities Limited ("Minsec") is pleased to advise that it has instructed its registrar to effect the cancellation of 13,961,804
ordinary shares (the "Treasury Shares") to leave 157,315,772 ordinary shares in issue.

    Cancellation of the Treasury Shares was one of the conditions to CopperCo Limited's offer to acquire the entire issued share capital of
Minsec for which the closing date for acceptances is 10:00 a.m. London time on Friday 1 August 2008. 

    In order to effect the cancellation of the Treasury Shares, Minsec's articles of association (the "Articles") required some minor
amendment and a copy of the amended Articles has been lodged with the Australian Securities Exchange ("ASX") and may be viewed on the
websites of Minsec and ASX (www.mineralsecurities.com and www.asx.com.au) 
    .
