APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR

The Board of North Midland Construction Plc are pleased to announce that Mr. Ian
Elliott BSc. C.Eng MICE has joined the Board as a Non-Executive Director.

Ian originally joined Severn Trent in 1976, after working in local government,
and rose to the position of Principal Engineer.  In 1990 he joined consulting
engineers Charles Haswell and Partners where he became Managing Director before
rejoining Severn Trent as Director of Engineering a post he held until his
retirement in 2005.

Ian was a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers Waste Board, Conditions
of Contract Committee and has served on the National Working Parties in
Procurement.

Ian has a vast experience within the construction industry and we are confident
he will be a valuable addition to the Board.
