Chairman's AGM Statement

The first three months' figures for the group are disappointing compared with
last year's first 3 months, but I am still confident our final end year's
figures will show an increase in profit on last year.

Our present order book totals #18 1/2m, an increase of #5m on the
corresponding period last year.

We continue to be successful in maintaining our new client base and I am
pleased to see we are forging an excellent relationship with Cable and
Wireless over a wide area.

For our future expansion, we are in the process of forming a new company
within the group, to carry out mechanical, electrical and instrumentation work
for the water industry and environmental authorities.  We consider the work
carried out by this company will have great synergy with both our civil
engineering and building side of our business.
