                      AGM Statement
                            
All  resolutions were passed at Partner's AGM held today.
Michael Scorey, Chairman, made the following comments  on
current trading:

"Overall  sales to date have increased by  14%  including
the  benefit  of three new store openings at Abergavenny,
South  Shields  and Perry Barr in Birmingham.   Like  for
like sales continue to run ahead of last year.

There   have  been  some  early  indications   that   the
initiatives we have recently taken to increase sales  are
beginning  to produce positive results despite  difficult
retail market conditions.

This  is  encouraging  but, as we stated  in  the  Annual
Report,  we  expect  that  this  year  will  be  one   of
consolidation  and  transition  while  we  position   the
business for future growth. "
