RANGE COOKER COMPANY PLC(the "Company")

NOTIFICATION OF DIRECTOR'S SHARE DEALING

The Company was notified today of the sale on 2 February 2000 of 10,800,000
ordinary shares registered in the name of John D O Armstrong, a director of
the Company, and 5,000,000 ordinary shares registered in the name of  the
Trustees of The Armstrong 1997 Settlement, in which John D O Armstrong   and  
Tracy J Armstrong, both directors of the Company, have an interest.  All sales
were at 12p per share.  As a result of the above transactions John D O
Armstrong is now interested in 108,200,000 ordinary shares of the Company,
representing 68.05 per cent of that class of capital and Tracy J Armstrong no
longer has an interest in the ordinary share capital of the Company.
