     Date of preliminary results for year to 30 April 2000
                               
The  directors  at  Range,  one of the  largest  suppliers  of
quality  domestic cookers in the UK, are pleased  to  announce
that  the final results for the year ended 30 April 2000  will
be  announced to the London Stock Exchange on Monday  17  July
2000.   They  will  be making a presentation to  analysts  and
other  interested parties on that day at the  City  of  London
Club, 19 Old Broad Street, London, EC2.

Background note:

  1. Range  Cooker's shares are traded on AIM having gained
     admission in Nov 1997.
  
  2. Range Cooker offers 3 principal product ranges  -  The
     Britannia, The Majestic and The Morice.  Prices range from
     approximately #1,200 for a single oven Britannia to in excess
     of #14,000 for a top of the range Morice.

  3. The cookers are sold through retailers such as John Lewis
     Partnership, Harrods, specialist appliance retailers  and
     dedicated kitchen specialists, all of whom must display a
     sample of the range they represent.  Installation and service
     is predominantly carried out by the Range Cooker Company.
