Stanelco re-brands its fast growing bioplastics business 
 as 'Biome Bioplastics ltd' 
 
 
Stanelco plc is pleased to announce that following continued high levels of 
growth, it has re-branded its bioplastics business today as Biome Bioplastics 
ltd. 
 
 
Biome Bioplastics makes and sells plastics from renewable resources that also 
biodegrade. Product areas it operates in are increasing as large corporations 
switch to using sustainable resources in key brands.  Recently the division has 
supplied materials to be used in packaging, waste disposal, paper products, 
personal care, horticulture and electronics.   This, combined with the 
division's continued growth, provides an opportune time to invest in 
establishing the division as a brand in the sector. 
 
 
The new brand name utilises the word biome [pronounced bahy-ohm], which is a 
scientific word used to describe ecologically similar climatic conditions such 
as communities of plants, animals, and soil organisms and are often referred to 
as an ecosystem. This re-branding is fitting for a business that manufactures 
materials from renewable resources and that biodegrade at the end of their 
useful life. 
 
 
A new website is launched today for Biome Bioplastics customers which captures 
the progress being made with these materials (www.biomebioplastics.com) as well 
as providing extensive information on the business and product areas.
