ADJOURNMENT OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING ("AGM")

Shareholders are referred to the Company's 2004 annual report ("the annual
report") posted to shareholders on 22nd October 2004 and specifically the
notice of AGM contained therein ("the notice"). The AGM which was held on
Thursday, 25 November 2004 at 9:30 was adjourned in terms of section 192 of the
Companies Act, 1973 (Act 61 of 1973), as amended ("the Act"), after the
unanimous adoption of ordinary resolutions 1 and 2 and before the special
resolution contained in the notice was considered, as the required number of
shareholders to constitute the necessary quorum in terms of the Act were not
present. The AGM has been adjourned until 10:00 on 15th day, December 2004 and
will be held in the Auditorium, Ground Floor, 28 Harrison Street, Johannesburg
("the adjourned AGM"). The special resolution for the adoption of new articles
of association contained in the notice remains unchanged.

Forms of proxy submitted for the AGM will remain valid. Certificated
shareholders and "own-name" dematerialised shareholders who have, completed a
form of proxy and wish to either withdraw or amend it, should contact the
transfer secretaries, Computershare Investor Services 2004 (Proprietary)
Limited, on (011) 370-5000, in order to obtain a new form of proxy.
Dematerialised shareholders who wish to amend their previous election should
contact their Central Securities Depository Participant ("CSDP") or broker in
this regard.
