Tissue Science Laboratories plc ("Tissue Science Laboratories" or "the Company")

                              Issue of new equity

Tissue Science Laboratories announces that it has issued and allotted 85,000 new
ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the Company, as a result of the exercise of
options held under the Company share schemes by Tissue Science Laboratories
employees.

Following the issue of the new shares, there are 36,517,757 ordinary shares of
10 pence each in issue, with each share carrying the right to one vote.
