Requisition from State Street Nominees Limited on behalf of Scottish Widows Unit
Funds Limited

On 18 May 2007, the Board of the Company announced that it had received
documents from State Street Nominees Limited on behalf of Scottish Widows Unit
Funds Limited ("SWUF") purporting to requisition an extraordinary general
meeting of the Company.

The Company has been advised that the requisition from State Street Nominees
Limited on behalf of SWUF was not validly served on 18 May 2007 in accordance
with the Companies (Guernsey) Law 1994 (as amended).  SWUF re-served the
requisition on 21 May 2007.  The Board has been advised that the requisition
received on 21 May 2007 is now valid and the Company will, in accordance with
its obligations under the law, convene an extraordinary general meeting within
21 days of receipt of the valid requisition.

The Board expects to announce its response to the SWUF requisition next week
after it has considered the proposals in detail.  In analysing the proposals,
the Board will act in the best interests of all shareholders.
